Christopher Anton Rea (Middlesbrough, 4 marzo 1951)

E' un cantante e chitarrista britannico di origini italiane.

Figlio di immigrati italiani che possedevano un chiosco di gelati, Chris cominciò a cantare e suonare la chitarra all'inizio degli anni settanta in una band chiamata Magdalene, che vince un importante concorso nazionale nel 1975, senza però ottenere un contratto.
Negli anni ottanta ottenne fama internazionale grazie ai successi Fool (If You Think It's Over), On the Beach, Josephine, Looking for the summer, Julia, Auberge e Road to hell. Prima del grande successo di Josephine, grazie ad una versione remix realizzata nel 1987, altri due suoi brani furono ballatissimi sulle piste delle discoteche nel 1983: Let it loose e I can hear your heartbeat.
Nel 2002, dopo una lunga assenza dovuta ad una grave malattia, Rea è tornato alla musica delle sue radici: il jazz-blues.
