Charles Eugene Boone, conosciuto con il nome d'arte di Pat Boone (Jacksonville, 1º giugno 1934)

E' un cantante e attore statunitense.

Nato in Florida, ma cresciuto in Texas, da un impresario edile e da un'infermiera, Charles Eugene Boone, viene scoperto da un talent scout dopo aver partecipato a un programma radiofonico.
I suoi maggiori successi sono I'll Be Home, April Love che raggiunge la prima posizione negli Stati Uniti per due settimane nel 1957 e la seconda in Olanda, Friendly Persuasion, Love Letters In The Sand che nel 1957 raggiunge la prima posizione negli Stati Uniti ed in Olanda e Moody River che nel 1961 raggiunge la prima posizione nella Billboard Hot 100 e la quarta in Norvegia e Words.
Nel 1962 il singolo Speedy Gonzales raggiunge la prima posizione in Germania per 18 settimane, in Italia per sette settimane, in Olanda per quattro settimane ed in Norvegia per sei settimane e la sesta posizione nella Billboard Hot 100.
Fra gli anni cinquanta e sessanta ha interpretato alcuni film ed è apparso anche in alcune serie televisive, per poi tornare alla musica.
Ha preso parte al Festival di Sanremo 1966 con Mai mai mai Valentina, cantata con Giorgio Gaber, e Se tu non fossi qui, eseguita in coppia con Peppino Gagliardi.
Ha composto ed eseguito musiche per diverse pellicole, tra le quali: Striptease, Basta guardare il cielo, Pleasantville e Superman Returns.
